Cameroon Consulate In Lebanon Is Accused Of Blocking Repatriation Of Stranded Workers

Struggling with the economic crisis, migrant domestic workers in Lebanon were either abandoned by their employers or they decided to walk away after being left unpaid for months.

With no reason to stay put in Lebanon, many have fled back home but it wasn’t easy. Filipinas, Kenyans, Nigerians, and more women had to endure the tedious wait to go back home.

And they are not alone. Cameroonian women have been waiting for over six months, according to This Is Lebanon.
